Hair Types

Human hair extensions come in various types:

Euro Grade Hair (the finest Indian temple hair)

Euro grade hair is the preferred choice for many of our clients; this is due to its soft, natural feel and look as well as the extensive colour range clients have to choose from. Euro grade hair, when left to dry naturally, dries with a natural wave. Euro grade hair is the only truly ethically sourced hair and is from temples across India. It gets the Euro grade name from being very similar to European hair for its fineness and texture. Locals donate their hair as a religious offering and the temples auction the hair to large companies and reinvest in the community. All of our Euro grade hair is pre-dyed to match a colour chart of 27 different colours from which we can match our client's hair perfectly.

Brazilian Virgin Hair

Brazilian hair is sourced from Brazil and the surrounding areas of South America. This is one of the most exclusive and rare types of hair as it has not been chemically treated to reduce the cuticle; which is necessary with our Euro grade hair. Due to the raw nature of this hair, colour range is limited to what can be sourced and therefore may need to be dyed to match the client's specific requirements. Brazilian hair is very curly hair which creates a perfect match to ladies with naturally curly hair. This hair type has to be pre-ordered when booking an appointment as it needs to be specially ordered for clients on request.

Russian Virgin Hair

Russian Virgin hair is the finest quality hair, sourced from Russia and surrounding Eastern European countries. This hair is fine, often straight and smooth in texture and tends to come in shades of warm light and mid brown, and darker colours, however the lightest hair can be dyed very well to a honey blonde and sometimes lighter. Like the Brazilian hair, we may need to dye this dependent on client requirements. This hair type also has to be pre-ordered when booking an appointment as it needs to be specially ordered for clients on request.

Attachment Methods

Our hair extension application methods have been refined and developed in-house to the highest standards. Below is an explanation of these methods and their application:

Polymer Bonded Extensions

Our polymer bonded hair extension application can be blended before application, strand-by-strand, as this is free flowing hair. The process involves taking strands of extension hair to create one extension and then attaching it by applying a bead of liquid resin to the tip of the extension and bonding it gently to the natural hair. The resin is gently rolled to form a hard, cylindrical bond or ‘seal’. Please note, that this is NOT an acrylic glue found in pre bonded extensions, but a specially formulated polymer bonding resin specifically developed for hair extensions. It is extremely safe, non-toxic and 100% non-damaging to the natural hair.

Tape-In Hair extensions

Tape-In hair extensions are the newest and fastest method of extensions available. Tape-Ins have a flexible base and are strategically placed to seamlessly integrate into clients’ hair; adding length, thickness, colour and style. Panels lay flat on the head, virtually undetectable. Suitable for thin, fine hair.

Synthetic Hair Extensions

This method is still a good option for adding volume in particular, although it is not often used these days; most clients preferring to use human hair extensions. Synthetic hair extensions are applied using a plaiting method and use a synthetic hair made originally from a kind of plastic. Although made from this material, it is very hard to tell the difference in term of the look of the hair, however it does feel different to human hair and cannot absorb water.

Colour Matching

To ensure a natural look we use a variety of colours when applying extensions. This mimics the natural variation in your hair and provides the subtle highlights and lowlights that make the overall impression perfectly balanced. No-one will know it’s not your own hair!.
